About me :)

My name is Grace Gibson. I live in the mountains in colorado and I love adventure. I’ve lived there my whole life and i was constantly riding my bike, or hiking a mountain with my two dogs. Ever since I was little I loved reading and writing and now i am thirteen years old. My teacher always used to tell me, write and never look back, and, start from nothing and learn as you go.

My Love For Reading and Writing

As a kid I was very observant. As I started looking around me, my love for writing built up more and more, and for my birthday I asked my mom for a journal. I became so adamant and serious about it I started writing everyday. I wrote about where I wanted to travel, story’s I made up, chapters I added to booked I loved, things that happened in my day and much much more. I can remember a favorite teacher of mine always told me that when you writing, just don’t look back and express exactly how you feel. My dad LOVED history and reading so I got very into reading big books that most kids my age wouldn’t. He always got me into good book that were very educational but I as I grew up more, I developed a love for fiction, and mystery.

My creative side

I can remember ever since I was very little that I loved being creative with art and taking pictures with my mom. I guess I got it from my parents. My dad loved painting and was an artist, and my mom was a photographer and loved taking TONS of pictures. for a while, everywhere I went to took loads and loads of photos. I remember sneaking into my dads art studio as a kid and thinking I was “the best at creating art”. And even though i’m not quite as confident as a was when I was younger, being creative has stuck with me.

Traveling and being active.

Growing up and living in the mountains as a kid was fun, but it had its flaws. We always could ski and ride and hike on any mountain, and we were definitely outdoors people (meaning being active was our thing). Every one was so friendly and our town was amazing. However, living it the mountains did have its downside… we never got to go to beaches or have super hot summers and we didn’t even have that many outdoor pools! It was so cold in the winters and in our town, we didn’t have a big city with amusement parks and malls. So, I started getting into traveling and I loved looking at warm, fun, and unique places.
